Reviewing Transcript Utterances
Though uncommon, MeetBit Transcriptions may include mistakes and we recommend that you manually review transcripts before completing them. Reviewing allows you to fix any mistakes made by MeetBit which may include:
Mistranscribed words / phrases
Inaccurate Utterance timestamps
Missing Utterances
Incorrectly matched Utterances and speakers
Wrong speaker names
You must have the permission to update Transcripts and the Transcript must have a status of "Created" or "For Review" to perform the actions below.
Patching an Existing Utterance

If you have found an Utterance which you wish to update, click the "More" icon on the upper-right corner of an Utterance and click "Edit".
In the Update Utterance Form that appears, you may change the speaker, start and end seconds, and the content of the Utterance.
Click "Save".
Creating a New Utterance

Wherever you need to add a new Utterance, click the "+" icon.
In the Update Utterance Form that appears, provide the speaker, start and end seconds, and the content of the Utterance.
Click "Save".
The newly saved Utterance will be automatically inserted into the existing Utterances and arranged according to the provided start seconds.
Deleting an Utterance

Click the "More" icon on the upper-right corner of the Utterance you wish to delete and click "Delete"
Confirm the action on the dialog popup.
Correcting Speaker Details
If speaker details were incorrectly extrapolated from the conversation, you may update them by following the instructions in Specifying Transcript Participants.
Marking a Transcript as Completed
After reviewing a Transcript's Utterances and you have ensured its accuracy, marking the Transcript as completed ensures that you or other users do not mistakenly update it in the future.

From the Transcript Page, click the "More" icon on the upper-right corner of the page.
Click "Mark as Completed"
Confirm the action in the dialog popup.
Retranscribing a Transcript
If there are too many issues with the current transcription or if transcription encountered an error, you may retranscribe the media source and start from the beginning.

From the Transcript Page, click the "More" icon on the upper-right corner of the page.
Click "Retranscribe Media"
Confirm the action in the dialog popup.
Retranscription may incur additional charges depending on your Workspace's subscription plan.
If you are retranscribing due to a failed transcription, make sure that you have contacted help@meetbit.io and have received instructions to retranscribe.
Retranscription will override existing Participants and Utterances.
