Single Sign-On

MeetBit offers workspaces the option to implement Single Sign-On (SSO) for federated identity management. Currently, we facilitate integration with Microsoft Entra (previously Active Directory) and the Google Identity Platform as identity providers for SSO, utilizing the OpenID Connect (OIDC) authentication protocol.

Creating Providers for SSO

Create Provider Page for Single Sign-On with Google
  1. Visit the Create Provider Page at https://customdomain.com/admin/providers/create.

  2. Fill out the name of the Provider.

  3. Select "SSO" as the type and choose your preferred Driver.

  4. Set up SSO with your provider's dashboard. You can refer to Setting Up SSO with your Provider for more information.

  5. Fill out the Provider Configuration based on the details required depending on your Driver.

  6. Click "Create".

You have the option to create multiple SSO providers for your workspace, albeit limited to one per identity provider.

Next Step

The new provider needs to be activated to be accessible for your Users via the Admin Panel Sign-In page. Proceed to the following instructions to learn how:

  1. On the Provider's Page, click the "More" icon in the upper-right corner.

Provider Page
  1. Click "Activate Provider".

  2. Once you are redirected to the provider's authentication page, connect your account with MeetBit to complete the activation.

  3. To limit your users to only utilize SSO as the sign-in method, visit the Workspace Settings Page at https://customdomain.com/admin/workspace_settings and modify the setting under "Sign In Options".

Even if the workspace is limited to SSO sign-in only, users from the Global Department with permission to perform all actions on all resources (*.*.*) will still have the email and password sign-in option available.

Setting Up SSO with your Provider

Now that you understand how Providers work, it's time to set up SSO with your chosen provider. Proceed to the following sections to learn how:
